Oak Ridge is used to making history, but this time, it’s all about making power! Radiant Industries has chosen the East Tennessee city as home to the world’s first mass-produced nuclear generator factory, a $280 million project set to create 175 new jobs and strengthen Oak Ridge’s reputation as a leader in clean energy innovation. According to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD), construction will begin soon on the new facility in Roane County, where Radiant will manufacture its Kaleidos microreactor, a portable nuclear power generator designed to deliver clean, reliable energy anywhere it’s needed.
