Present Tense is a 30 seat modern izakaya style restaurant influenced by cooking from around the world fused heavily into our love for minimalist Japanese cuisine. The ever-changing menu is shaped by the sourcing of world class ingredients, fermentation and restraint. Expect a deep lineup of natural wines, sakes, and an intentionally curated cocktail list. Present Tense offers 2 dining experiences, an a la carte menu or 12 course omakase (tasting) menu. The minimalist yet warm interior is designed to feel like the small izakayas around Japan that are the driving inspiration for Present Tense.
