Lucky's Cat House

Lucky’s Cat House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue and adoption center in Lewisburg, Tennessee, dedicated to improving the lives of cats and kittens in our community.

We serve an area where government-funded animal shelters and animal control services have little to no resources available for cats. In many of the communities we serve, there is simply no municipal safety net for a stray, abandoned, injured, or unwanted cat. That leaves nonprofit rescues, volunteers, fosters, and members of the community working together to fill a tremendous gap.

Since January 2020, more than 4,100 cats have come through our care. More than 1,100 have found homes through Lucky’s, over 1,500 have been given new opportunities through rescue and transport partners, and hundreds of community cats have been helped through Trap-Neuter-Return.

But rescue alone will never solve cat overpopulation. A major part of our mission is addressing the problem at its source through spay/neuter assistance, TNR, community education, and responsible pet ownership. Every cat fixed means fewer unwanted litters and fewer cats competing for already limited rescue space.

Lucky’s is powered by volunteers, fosters, adopters, donors, rescue partners, and community members who choose to step up when there often isn’t another resource available.
