From conquerin' competitions to feedin' hungry folks from a food truck and then runnin' a humble barbecue joint that just happened to sell gas, Ray, aka Fatguy, has been on one wild smokin' ride. For decades, he dreamed of creating a place he could call home to his award-winning, low and slow-smoked meats and Southern favorites. 

That dream became reality in November 2022 when Fatguy Southern Kitchen opened its doors in the heart of Lascassas, Tennessee—the community Ray proudly calls home.

From the moment you pull up the drive, you feel the warmth of Southern hospitality as the aroma of smoked goodness hollers at you to come on in. Fatguy's award-winning low and slow-smoked meats, like brisket, pork, and ribs are cooked to mouth watering, finger-lickin' perfection--just beggin' for a heaping Southern side like Fatguy smoked beans, turnip greens, taters, and cornbread. Each one made with love using time-tested recipes and sprinkled a little Fatguy magic.
