Twisted Confections

Brian and I (both from Mississippi) dated in high school briefly before life took us down totally different paths. In 2021 we reconnected and soon after I relocated to Signal Mountain where he was living. We started a t-shirt and tumbler business where we traveled a lot doing events. The business never really took off like we wanted so we started looking at other avenues. One of those was desserts. I had made a caramel cheesecake cookie that I posted about on local pages, and ended up selling out every day that I made them. So soon after, we were signing up to do Nightfall downtown where we had a tent with tons of desserts, sweets, and beverages. It was a hit. However, the heat was making us miserable and everything was melting in the heat. We knew we couldn't keep doing it this way so we started shopping for a food truck. During that time, we couldn't believe that cookies would carry us too far so we decided to add actual food options to the menu like burgers, hand cut fries, and more. Once we were open for business, it didn't take long to realize the small silver tuna can (as we referred to it) became too small and we knew that if we were to continue this journey, we were going to need an actual brick and mortar.

In October, we moved to our current location and soon after, we landed a lease on the building behind our food truck. While the building was once a restaurant called "Off The Grill" the condition was horrible and they even left behind all their restaurant equipment, even fryers still filled with oil, coolers that didn't work and even rusted out tables. It was a lot and we also knew we didn't have the funds to fix everything at once so we made the choice to keep using the truck for our kitchen until we got the indoor kitchen completed and just open the dining rooms and gift shop to help us with remodeling funds.

We still have a long way to got but somehow we seem to make the truck work for now. The vision I had was a place you could sit down and eat a burger, a sandwich, maybe just a dessert, with a small gift shop inside. A sip n' shop as I called it. And here we are.

We are so much more than just a burger place. We are a place where you can bring the whole family to eat, and be able to find something for everyone on our menu. We love our customers and we truly know we wouldn't be here without them. We have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this place and we hope that when you walk in, you can feel that! We have tons of plans in mind such as a breakfast buffett, meat and 3, soft serve ice cream, and so much more!
