Daybreak Arts

Daybreak Arts is a nonprofit gallery that represents and empowers artists impacted by homelessness and housing insecurity in Nashville, TN. We curate unique exhibitions that showcase the diverse talents of 30+ professional artists whose voices and perspectives are often underrepresented in the mainstream art world. 

Our exhibitions feature painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, fiber arts, and more, highlighting a wide spectrum of creative practices. Each show is carefully curated to reflect both the artistry and the powerful narratives of our artists, many of whom have been historically excluded from mainstream galleries due to the barriers of homelessness and housing insecurity. The result is work that is both innovative in technique and deeply compelling in story—art that challenges assumptions, sparks conversation, and broadens the cultural landscape of Tennessee’s arts community.

Beyond exhibitions, we foster artistic excellence through studio access, supplies, educational workshops, and professional development, ensuring our artists have the tools and opportunities to grow their practice. Since 2014, Daybreak Arts has presented dozens of public exhibitions across Nashville, attracting thousands of visitors and contributing to the vitality of the region’s cultural scene.
