About

                                                                     FILICHATEAU

IS A TESTAMENT OF FAITH .....

..... IN GOD'S GOODNESS*

Feeding the needy is beyond our means. but God Himself has provided the way to do it. Whatever                           Filichateau is not able to sell but are still savory and healthful, regularly go to the needy through  charitable agencies. This is a sustainable mechanism that blesses the needy who are able to eat very good food, as well as our customers who express their appreciation for having this unique bakeshop right here in their neighborhood, and us who have been gifted with a means of livelihood.

* Although I have been engaged in different business pursuits before, operating a bakeshop is a new and very challenging venture. What, When, How, How much, How to source out... these are the the staggering questions that confront me everyday and demand quick and effective answers, not from the comfort of a cushy chair behind the Manager's desk, but in the rough and tumble of the kitchen floor and reception area. The great factor in this equation is the presence of my CEO whose office in heaven is always open when I need to consult with Him.

* The long and strenuous work hours, the emotional ups and downs, the spectre of unknown unknowns often drag me down. But every morning presents fragrant flowers of hope and Divine interventions.

.....IN THE AMERICAN DREAM

* We are legal Immigrants from the Philippines who were petitioned by our son who served in the US Army in the battlefields of Iraq. My other son is a US Marine. They inspire us to pursue the American Dream, to believe that here in America, big ambitions are a fair game to all who are willing to work hard and smart.

* Our community here in the greater Mt Juliet area inspire us with warm acceptance and overwhelming  support, without regard to the color of our skin.

* Our landlady is very understanding and supportive of our small business as we go through our birth pains.

..... IN OURSELVES

* My youngest daughter, Samantha, our very creative and indefatigable chef, is at the nexus of our operations. Baking is second nature to her, having baked her first bread at age 8. She received formal schooling at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, specializing in French and American cuisines. In her own way, she integrated Filipino cuisine to cater to Filipino and American palates.

* My eldest daughter, Andrea, our charming artist with a charitable heart, connects Filichateau with thegeneral public as well as to our needy beneficiaries.

* I oversee the entire operations. Since I was a little girl in the Philippines, I always had a penchant for

cooking. As I grew up I became an aficionado of both the rich man's and poor man's food. I have been

blessed with a business warrior's heart, as well as a wealth of experience in business. I believe that in

business, the heart is as important as the head. The Survival Stage of any business is the cradle of

hardest struggles. For every reason to go ahead, there are 10 competing reasons to be disheartened.

And this is where the business warrior is differentiated from other good professionals.

* Filichateau is not only a means of livelihood. It is a platform for family bonding, where we share both

laughter and tears. It is a University where the family learns together that all things, both good and

bad, work together for good to them that love the Lord and are called for His purpose.

* My 2 daughters and I do not comprise the whole Team Filichateau. We also have a Prayer Department  composed of our lifetime family friend, Bro. Oscar Ledesma in the Philippines; my ever dependable son -in law, Joshua Benson the artist and Music Events Director, and my ever-supportive husband, Leyol. And finally, the most important part of our team, our Chief Executive Officer, Jesus our Lord and Savior, who promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. That solid promise is good enough to bring to the bank.
