Olive Tree Early Learning Academy

Olive Tree Early Learning Academy exists to meet a critical need in Knoxville, where nearly half of families live in a childcare desert and affordable, high-quality infant care is nearly impossible to find. Our census tract has no other childcare providers, and most options within ten miles are either full, lack key quality components, or don’t serve the youngest learners. At the same time, two-thirds of children under six in our community have all available parents in the workforce. Families deserve better, and Olive Tree is working to change that.

We believe the first five years of life are the most important, with 90% of brain connections formed by age five. As a nonprofit, we are deeply committed to making early education both excellent and accessible. Olive Tree is proud to be recognized as a Top-Tier School through Tennessee’s QRIS, earning the highest possible rating, and to have received the Rooted to Grow Award from AIMHIGH TN for our outstanding inclusion of all children and families.

Our whole-child approach not only nurtures learning in the classroom but also strengthens families through parenting programs, counseling support, and intentional family partnerships. The impact is measurable: last year, the percentage of children below developmental expectations dropped significantly, while the number exceeding expectations rose by 20%.
