At grow: a Shane Archer concept, we believe that each and everyone deserves to look as beautiful on the outside as they feel on the inside. We also think it should be an affordable, luxurious experience that they receive while they are in the salon. The majority of our guests use the salon time not only as regular beauty maintenance, but also to escape from the world, if even for a moment. At inception, Owner and Operator Shane Archer wanted to provide a relaxing, warm, and inviting atmosphere for our guests that make them feel right at home, unlike the mega-salons where they feel like a cog in the machine.

We focus on quality, not quantity, and value each individual guest for who they are as a person, not how much they spend.

We are a green salon and are proud to partner with Green Circle, recycling anything and everything down to the hair clippings.

grow is all about giving back and promoting what is local. We support local Knoxville brands like Family Tree Candle Company and English Rose Farms, Local authors by promoting their books, and through our grow Gives Back campaign, we support East Tennessee Children's Hospital, Alzheimer's Tennessee, the Knoxville Opera, and so much more!

No stranger to Cityview’s “Best Of” list, Shane is a recipient of the "Best Stylist” since 2011. In addition, grow has been voted “Best Salon” in Knoxville for 10 years in a row, as well as “Best Place to Work”.

In recent years, Shane has expanded his brand by opening wellness spa, grow Wellness in 2022, and barbershop, Stubble. Stubble started as a small pop-up inside of the salon in 2022 and has grown into its own stand alone barbershop in 2024 which has gone on to win "Best Barbershop" for all three years since its inception.

As we mark a significant milestone this year by celebrating a decade of outstanding service, Shane and the entire grow family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to our guests and community for their unwavering support throughout the years. With an eye on the future, we are excited to continue our journey of growth and innovation.
