Taiwan On Bubble Tea & Sushi Cafe

Taiwan On was founded in 2023 by Todd & Preston Fowler and Richard Nguru. The café originally opened as Johnson City’s first bubble tea and sushi shop, but due to overwhelming demand, it transitioned into a bubble tea and poke bowl destination.

Since opening, Taiwan On has proudly served thousands of guests a wide variety of handcrafted drinks—bubble teas, fruit teas, lemonades, slushies, and even shaved ice during seasonal specials. Guests can enjoy the convenience of a drive-thru, easy online ordering, and a welcoming, peaceful atmosphere inside.

Alongside our signature drinks, we serve fresh, flavorful poke bowls, including favorites like salmon, tuna, spicy crab, tofu, chicken karaage, and shrimp tempura. To complement these bowls, guests can enjoy a selection of irresistible appetizers such as crab rangoons, edamame, shrimp swirl pops, dumplings (gyoza), and takoyaki.

Known as Johnson City’s premier bubble tea spot, Taiwan On set the standard by being the very first of its kind in the city. The café is also recognized for its friendly staff, exceptional service, and commitment to creating a space where the community can gather and feel at home.
