Horizon Counseling

Horizon Counseling is a locally-owned therapy practice that strongly believes everyone deserves access to high-quality, compassionate, and effective mental health care. Executive Director Emily Runyan, LMFT, MA, founded the practice to change the narrative for anyone who wants high-quality therapy but needs insurance benefits to do so. 

After founding Tennessee Mental Wellness in Gallatin TN 2017 as a thriving boutique trauma-informed practice, Emily saw the power of a space rooted in clinical excellence, heart, and passion for healing within her Nashville Tennessee community. The demand for this level of care has only grown since then, leading her to launch Horizon Counseling as a more affordable, insurance-based option where individuals can feel held in the same way.
