Southern Elite Volleyball Academy

Southern Elite Volleyball Academy (SEVA), founded in 2020 by Coach Heather Koehler, is dedicated to developing long-term volleyball athletes in a positive, competitive, and family-centered environment. SEVA offers club teams, clinics, lessons, leagues, and tournaments designed to give every athlete—from beginners to college-bound players—the chance to grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game. With a focus on personal attention, SEVA ensures athletes aren’t just numbers in a large program but are individually coached, supported, and celebrated.

Coach Heather has devoted her life to the sport of volleyball as a player, coach, mentor, and parent. A standout middle hitter in her playing days, she has spent more than two decades coaching athletes across all age groups. Her vision for SEVA grew out of her passion to “grow the game” in the Delta Region and create a home where athletes can thrive both on and off the court. In addition to leading SEVA, she serves as Varsity Head Coach and Volleyball Program Director at Fayette Academy and as Director of Member Services for USA Volleyball’s Delta Region.

Coach Heather’s leadership, combined with SEVA’s commitment to excellence, community, and athlete development, has made a lasting impact on the sport and earned recognition as one of the top volleyball programs in Tennessee.
